Tastings & Bottle Parties

Tours are generally offered at 1pm on Monday, at 1pm and 3pm Tuesday through Thursday, and 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm on Friday and Saturday. To ensure that a tour guide is available and that there is space in the tour, it is highly advised that you purchase your tickets ahead of time. You may purchase tickets that include spirit tastings or not. Children under 18 with their parents do not need a ticket.

Distillery Tour with Tastings

Tour of our distilling area from one of our distillers. The tour lasts approximately 30-45 minutes depending on questions from the group. Comes with three .5 ounce pours of our products. Additional tastings, cocktails, and bottles available for purchase in our tasting room.

Although this ticket does not include tastings, there may be individuals in the group who are receiving tastings. Additional tastings, cocktails, and bottles available for purchase in our tasting room.

Barrel Club Membership Agreement

Member is entitled to samples from their selected barrel. Samples will be provided from day 1 and each consecutive year. John Emerald Distilling Co. will make every effort to hold samples for members and samplings will be scheduled in advance. Members will receive a sample of the current year as well as a sample from the previous year for comparison purposes. Barrels will be aged a minimum of 4 years. At year four John Emerald Distilling Company will assess the spirits readiness for bottling. If a barrel is damaged or experiences excessive “angel share” loss, the member will receive a comparable bottle/s according to their membership level. In the event of a catastrophic event causing the barrel to be destroyed or lose all the whiskey the member will have the choice to transfer membership to another barrel or except comparable bottles of whiskey as a replacement. John Emerald Distilling Company, LLC retains the right to declare any barrel ready for harvest, particularly in the case of excessive angel share loss. If John Emerald Distilling Company, LLC is sold or acquired by another entity the barrels included in the membership program will not be included in any such sale without the purchasers agreeing to honor the terms of the membership program.

To comply with Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board regulations members can only receive 6 bottles in a 24- hour day. Bottles can be received/purchased at the John Emerald Distilling Company’s premises, but tastings can be held remotely for larger membership levels.
